We highly recommend JLS paving after our experience with Joe and his company, JLS Paving. I wanted to stay local to Hamden. We hired them to give us a new driveway, our old one being crumbled and beyond touch up. We also had water drainage difficulties due to the sloping. Joe was so helpful in also suggesting his crew removing a hedge bordering the drive and two small evergreen bushes that I mentioned we had planned on taking out this fall, because he had the machinery there. This was going above and beyond and we deeply appreciated this. The sloping and grading of the drive now accommodates drainage without pooling. It looks wonderful. Joe is accommodating, and kind and easy to work with. Thank you for a great job.

JLS took up our very old concrete/asphalt driveway, stairs and patio and installed a new asphalt driveway and new patio with pavers and new stairs. Very competitive pricing when compared with other area contractors. Provided high quality work. Answered all our questions. Made great suggestions for the installation. A few years ago we had a 6 foot retaining wall put in by another company. Last year we noticed the wall leaning and getting worse by the day. I called in SEVERAL companies for estimates and ideas. By far Joe, from JLS, was the best! Not only competitive rates, but he didn't give me a song and dance about what we should do with the wall, he simply told me - this is how we are going to fix it, this needs to happen and didn't overwhelm me. We were sold. We hired Joe and his team. His crew came in and in 2 days time!! they were completely finished. I happened to be home working due to Covid-so I was able to see the workers. The very last day they made sure every scrap of dirt, muddy track and piece of dust was GONE. They even blew the leaves off my drive way and put my patio furniture back, Just a bunch of nice guys.
More importantly, the work they did was impeccable!
CLEAN, NEAT, RESPECTFUL, SPEEDY with NO lack of detail.

We were incredibly happy with the work that was done and that was completed in a timely fashion. I can’t say enough about the office manager who is incredibly responsive to any Question that I sent her via email and was always available. The Price for the driveway was reasonable and what was expected and they even were able to complete and perform the job before the expected start date Which they constantly kept me updated to. I had initially requested drainage service that we ended up not needing And they stated it was not necessary when they started laying down the Asphalt proving that they were honest and not trying to sell me on extra additional cost items. We love our new driveway installed last week. We had Joe help us with designing a pea stone drive so company could pull in off the road to the front door. Such an elegant entrance now. Love the sound! The old asphalt drive was removed and redone and it merges beautifully. Rachel in the office is so professional and a pleasure to deal with.
